Darkness.

That’s all I know after Lucian’s fangs sink into me. My body goes cold, heavy, and everything slips. But before the void swallows me completely, something cracks open inside. A flood. A storm.

Memories crash through me like fire through dry leaves.

I remember.

I remember being someone else. Someone who loved Jungkook fiercely, shamelessly. I remember Lucian too—his smile, his longing, and the way his love turned to venom the moment he realized I didn’t love him back. He was never mine. Jungkook always was.

I see flashes—A moonlit field soaked in blood. Lucian lunging toward me with madness in his eyes.

Jungkook screaming my name.

And then... the end. I remember the pain of Lucian’s claws ripping through my chest. I remember my own dagger buried in his own. I remember dying with my mate’s name on my lips.

I remember everything.

When I wake, I gasp. Cold air floods my lungs. My vision blurs, the ceiling unfamiliar until I realize I’m in Jungkook’s room. The same one I saw first time when I came here. I’m in his bed. Covered, wrapped in warmth of blanket.

I turn my head only to find Him sitting on the edge, face pale, gaze locked onto mine.

“Jungkook,” I whisper, voice rough.

His hand instantly finds mine. “You’re okay,” he murmurs, brushing my hair back. “You’re okay.”

“I... I remembered,” I say. Tears well up without warning. “I remembered everything.”

He stills. “The past?”

I nod. “Lucian. You. What happened to us.”

His jaw clenches. “He bit you. Then Claw your heart right in front of my eyes”

“but not before I Slash his own,” I whisper, sitting up slowly. My fingers tighten around his. “We killed each other, Jungkook. I remember that day. And I remember his mother too but what happened after I was gone”

Lucian's mother Selena was the Luna of the old pack. She always hated me for choosing Jungkook.

I look at Jungkook, His eyes go dark as He talks about what happened Centuries ago “She cursed me the moment Her son die and Your heart also stopped beating. To make sure if I ever bond you to me again....She’d bring him back. And he’d try to finish what he started,” he growls.

Suddenly I remember Lucian and my body start shaking.

My body trembles. “Where is Lucian...He isn't alive.. right?, tell me he is Gone"

Jungkook nods, fierce pride burning behind his eyes. “And this time, it’s over. he'll never come Back"

I blink. “What do you mean?”

He squeezes my hand tighter. “After Selena died, my mother took over the Luna title. She changed everything. The new law she cast—it made sure only fated mates could drink each other’s blood, only to get Energy. Anyone else who tries, dies. That’s what killed him. The moment he bit you.”

My breath hitches. “She protected me?”

“She protected us. She wanted this bond to survive.”

I can’t hold back anymore. I throw myself into his arms, burying my face in his neck. He catches me like he’s done it a thousand times. Maybe he has. In another life.

“I’m sorry,” I whisper, voice cracking. “For forgetting you. For leaving you alone.”

His arms crush me tighter. “You came back to me. That’s all that matters.”

We stay like that, just breathing, clinging. No more curses. No more ghosts. Just us.

“You missed me?” I tease softly.

He chuckles, the sound low and wrecked. “I fucking burned for you.”

“I burned too,” I whisper. “Even when I didn’t know why.”

He tilts my face up, eyes wild and soft all at once. “You’re mine again.”

I nod, heart swelling. “I always was.”

His lips crash onto mine, and this kiss is nothing like the first. It’s not desperate. It’s not dangerous. It’s home.

Our bond thrums between us, stronger than death, than curses, than time itself. And this time, nothing will break us. Not in this life. Not in the next.

“Eternally?” I ask against his lips.

Jungkook grins, fangs barely visible. “Eternally, My love”

And I believe him.

I always have.
